Good News On the Tourism Front in Zambia

The impact on the tourism industry of the West African Ebola crisis is visibly lessening. It is fair and seems timely to detail some of the good news that has been coming out of Zambia just recently.

Scheduled Flight Costs Reduced by 5%
In recognition of continually falling oil prices Proflight announced recently that all their scheduled flight prices would be reduced by 5%.

Uni-Visa for Zambia & Zimbabwe
The new Uni-Visa has been in operation now for a couple of months and is working well, this $50 visa enables you to visit both Zambia and Zimbabwe for up to 30 days. There are plans to extend the coverage area to other neighboring countries soon.

World Health Organization Declares Zambia Free of Yellow Fever
The World Health Organization (W.H.O.) has recently declared Zambia to be a non-risk country for Yellow Fever. The South African authorities have now declared that Yellow fever vaccinations are no longer required for travel between Zambia and South Africa.

The decision was made at the World Health Assembly on Friday the 30th of January 2015 in Geneva.
