Finance Minister Hon. Ng'andu Magande was in Washington DC.,USA to attend the Spring Meetings from 12 - 13th April, 2008. He was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and National Planning and those from the Bank of Zambia.

H.E, Dr. Inonge Mbikusita-Lewanika hosted a reception in honour of Minister Magande at the Zambian Embassy in Massachussetts, Avenue.

In attendance were Zambian officials from the International Monetery Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Executive Members of the Society for Zambians in the USA (SOZUSA) and diplomatic staff from the Zambian Embassy
