Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula S.C., made the announcement at the launch of the Association of Zambians in Dallas and Fort-Worth Texas. Dr. Simbyakula said the Embassy has received Bestowal of Citizenship application forms (Form VII) from Lusaka to facilitate restoration of Citizenship for citizens who lost their Zambian citizenship upon acquisition of citizenship of another country.

The Embassy of Zambia in Washington D.C has successfully participated in three largest annual travel and adventure tourism shows in the United States of America. Zambia’s Ambassador to the U.S His Excellency Dr Ngosa Simbyakula S.C. says the Mission’s active participation in the shows has raised Zambia’s tourism profile to over 100,000 U.S. travel agents, tour operators and potential tourists who visited the country’s stand at the Travel and Adventure shows that have been held in Washington, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Government To Construct 5,000 Houses For Civil Servants In Zambia

Minister of Infrastructure and Housing Ronald Chitotela says Government has earmarked to build 5,000 (five thousand) houses for civil servants starting from the second quarter of this year. This follows a directive by His Excellency Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing to build houses for civil servants and upgrade most of the unplanned settlements across the country.

A U.S. San Francisco, California based company, RD Global, working with a Japanese company, Mera Group Corporation, plans to set up a manufacturing plant of energy renewable products in Zambia in an effort to mitigate the energy deficit in the region. Mera Group Corporation, Business Development Advisor Rune Gunnar Dige says Zambia has been chosen as a preferred choice of investment in the energy sector because of its geographical position among countries in the Southern African region.
