Microscopic view of the SARS-CoV-2 virus which causes Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Following various developments regarding the coronavirus pandemic, particularly the surging cases of infections and subsequent travel restrictions and cancellations of flights by several airlines, all Zambian nationals are advised to:

  1. Stay safe and follow social distancing norms and avoid any non essential travels;
  2. Follow the advisories as updated on CDC website https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/ and other State and Federal guidelines;
  3. Approach the local health department officials in case you or your family member (s) experience any symptoms mentioned in the CDC website;
  4. To refer to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website https://www.uscis.gov/visit-united-states/extend-your-stay or visit https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/i94/#/home to check your travel or visa status in case you are affected by the cancellation of flights. In addition, visiting Zambian nationals are advised to contact their travel agents or airlines to reschedule their travels;
  5. Continue to check the website of the Zambian Embassy in Washington D.C (www.zambiaembassy.org) for latest updates.
