Trade Delegation From Zambia Pays Courtesy Call On The Embassy

On 7th June, 2019, representatives from Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Zambia Revenue Authority, Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Customs Clearing Agents Associations, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula, SC, and the Diplomatic Staff. This was after the institutions' successful study tour in the United States of America, (USA). The tour, under the auspices of the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation (GATF), with the objective of assisting clearing agents in Zambia to improve their level of skills and understanding of modern customs and other border agency clearance systems, which will ultimately improve trade facilitation in the country was aimed at learning and appreciating the legal framework for management and licensing of customs brokers. The tour was undertaken between 1st and 7th June, 2019 in customs regulatory institutions as well as selected border cities.
